The latest development in Rocker arm Technology from COMP Cams are Ultra Pro Magnumâ„¢ XD Rocker Arms built for 1/2″ Studs to increase valve train stiffness and stability. Designed to be used in conjunction with the COMP Cams Hi-Tech 1/2″ Rocker Stud Kit, the latest versions of COMP Cams Ultra Pro Magnum XD are built to utilize 1/2″ Studs to stabilize SBC valve trains. Ultra Pro Magnumâ„¢ XD Rockers are built to outlast and outperform in accuracy and strength, while maintaining all the benefits of the Ultra Pro Magnumâ„¢ version. The XD Rockers are engineered from durable 8650 Steel and include a machined billet Pushrod seat insert for a super-accurate ratio. The Rockers also boast precision-sorted needle bearings and hardened Roller tips. And since they now feature the added benefit of accepting 1/2″ Studs, they are a great choice for anyone looking for more stiffness with Stud mount Rockers. Thanks to innovative engineering, this patent pending Bushed Shaft Rocker System increases valve train stability and durability while decreasing deflection and providing bolt-in convenience for LS1, LS3 and LS7 cylinder heads. The COMP Cams Bushed Shaft Rocker System improves valve train stability and durability by securing all eight rocker arms onto a single rocker shaft. Thin tri-layer rocker arm bushings reduce rocker arm deflection and eliminate the high Hertz loading that can occur in needle bearing equipped rockers. Reduced rocker deflection increases valve train stiffness, ensuring that your LS is more efficient and durable under high loads. COMP Cams engineers worked to ensure long-term valve train durability by perfecting rocker to valve stem geometry and provisioning for supplementary pressurized oiling via threaded ends on the rocker shafts. Additionally, each rocker shaft is Plasma Nitrided, further increasing the system’s durability even when used with aggressive solid roller valve trains.     Stock LS Rocker arms can experience cageless needle bearing failure when loads are increased. COMP Cams engineers have solved this problem with upgraded Rockers featuring a stronger and more durable trunnion and captured bearing design. These upgraded Rockers increase lift capacity and utilize caged precision Roller bearings to improve valve train durability. The trunnions are secured by snap rings. The Rockers feature a black-oxide finish and are available for LS1, LS3 and LS7 valve train geometries. A DIY upgrade kit is also available for users with stock Rockers. It features a magnetic Installation tool, and its cylindrical construction is perfect for use in an arbor press, bench vise or c-clamp.
    With upgraded trunnions that are secured by snap rings along with a black oxide finish, our upgraded OE LS rockers offer higher lift capacity than stock. Featuring a 1.8 ratio, these 1479 rockers fit LS7 engines.
