Mishimoto 10-12 Dodge 6.7L Cummins Intercooler Kit (Black)

Mishimoto has released a performance intercooler kit for the 2010-2012 Dodge 6.7L Cummins. This kit includes everything you need to improve airflow, substantially decrease air-charge temperatures, reduce EGTs, and support your truck at any power level. The first key component is the Mishimoto intercooler piping; our engineers have maximized airflow by eliminating restrictive bends, allowing for a smooth and unimpeded airflow. The piping is constructed of mandrel bent 3.5″ aluminum polished to a mirror finish. This kit includes Mishimoto silicone boots with DuraCore technology and constant-tension T-bolt clamps for accurate and consistent holding force. Mishimoto DuraCore technology is the synthetic material that comprises the innermost layer of all Mishimoto silicone diesel boots. Compared to normal silicone, DuraCore provides superior resistance to heat, pressure, fuel, and oil. This effectively increases the life of our boots by preventing leaks and blowouts. This package is rounded out with the Mishimoto intercooler featuring extremely durable cast aluminum end tanks and a bar-and-plate core, all designed to provide cool, dense air to your engine. Our intercooler features an increase in core volume and reduces pressure drop, which results in an overall increase in engine efficiency. All the components in this kit are engineered to last, just like your truck. Offered with either a black or silver core, the Mishimoto 6.7L Cummins intercooler kit is protected by our signature lifetime warranty.

Our improved core design features a bar-and-plate core with a 29% increase in core volume, as well as a unique single-pass coolant flow layout for optimal heat transfer. Combined with our 16% increase in flow through the core we were able to record a 12°F temperature drop in intake air temperatures while testing our full Power Pack. An air-to-water intercooling system wouldn’t be complete without the heat exchanger. When it came to BMW’s design, it was a solid foundation, but we still saw room to grow, literally. Our full aluminum design added 6″ to the height of the core equating in a 180% increase in external fin surface area, and a 60% increase in core volume. With our heat exchanger in the S55’s system we recorded a 10 degree F drop in global intercooler coolant temperatures, and an average gain of 11 whp and 8 wtq when the full Mishimoto 2015-2020 BMW F8X Performance Intercooler Power Pack was tested on our stage 1 tuned M3. For added security, we made sure to include our optional steel mesh stone guard with the Mishimoto Performance Heat exchanger to keep all of the tubes and fins intact. We also utilized a variable fin pitch on our heat exchanger’s core for optimal cooling on DCT equipped vehicles. Where the F8X generation of the M3, M4 and M2 Competition were designed to pull ahead of the rest, there were still somethings that were left to be desired in terms on intercooling.     The mantra behind the grandfather of all hot-hatchbacks has long since been that big things come in small packages. The 2015 – 2021 Golf TSI/GTI/R’s and its intercooling system are about to receive a much-needed overhaul with the Mishimoto Performance Intercooler Kit. The stock system can be best described as the meat in an intercooler sandwich. It’s no wonder with it placed directly between the radiator and AC condenser that this tube-and-fin constructed intercooler has trouble keeping up. Where this lighter core coupled with plastic end tanks might be suited for mass production and tame street driving, it will struggle to keep your intake air temperatures down under more intense driving, especially after the boost is turned up. The Mishimoto 2015 – 2021 Volkswagen MK7 Golf TSI/GTI/R Performance Intercooler, armed with an arsenal of cooling technology, takes the place of the stock intercooler. Our engineers were able to squeeze in a larger core, increasing the overall volume by 89-percent over stock and bumping up the external fin surface area by 162-percent. On top of the larger core, our all-aluminum, TIG-welded intercooler features a more robust bar-and-plate construction for better heat dissipation characteristics. In addition, the cast aluminum end tanks are integrated with airflow diverters to ensure use of the full core. In addition to the more robust intercooler, our Performance Intercooler Kit for your 2015 – 2021 Golf or Audi A3/S3 includes our Performance Intercooler Pipe Kit. We ditched the stock plastic piping and rubber couplers for mandrel-bent aluminum piping and 5-layer silicone couplers.
