    Cam phasers are specially designed, computer-controlled Cam Gears that automatically optimize Camshaft timing based on the current engine rpm. Engine oil is pressure fed to the Cam phasers through a Series of passageways in the cylinder heads and Camshafts. The engine computers control solenoids that adjust this oil flow into and out of the phaser’s control chambers, giving the ability to retard the cams up to 60 crank degrees. While this Technology provides tremendous efficiency benefits, such as fuel efficiency and the ability to always be in the best position for maximum power, regardless of engine rpm, it does present some limitations when it comes to performance Camshafts. With such a wide range of valve timing movement, there is very little piston to valve clearance, which limits you to small Cam profiles with little overlap. The U.S. Patented COMP Cams Cam Phaser Limiter Kits for Ford Modular 3V engines restrict the range of Cam timing movement to only 20 degrees, thus providing the necessary valve clearance for Serious performance cams with tighter lobe separations – all while still utilizing the benefits of VVT Technology. Combining this performance modification with more aggressive Cam profiles has resulted in some of the largest upper-rpm gains we’ve ever seem from such a simple valve train adjustment without sacrificing any bottom end or mid-range performance.     A high lift Cam in a performance street vehicle can offer up great sound and excellent performance. But if your car or truck has power brakes, a minimum of 16 inches of vacuum is critical to proper brake booster operation, something not always present if your Camshaft features enhanced overlap. The COMP Cams Electric Vacuum Pump ensures that your vacuum stays between 18 and 22 inches so you never have to worry whether your brakes will be there when you need them. Triggered by a vacuum switch included in the kit, the COMP Cams Electric Vacuum Pump requires a 12V negative ground system and only operates when vacuum drops below 18 inches of vacuum and then turns off over 22 inches of vacuum. The kit includes all of the parts necessary to install the unit along with wiring, hoses and brackets. The system utilizes a highly efficient electric pump, relay switch and distributor with vacuum switch, which should be mounted close together for the most effective performance.
    Our electric vacuum pump kit operates off a 12v negative ground electrical system which ensures that the vacuum for your power brakes never drops below 18 in/hg.

They feature OE-style gaskets and hardware for superior Sealing, a -16AN oil fill port for easy filling, a breather location for dry-sump oiling systems and internal baffling for an optional 3/8″ breather/vent line. The valve covers also have provisions for valve spring oil squirters to help cool valve springs and increase their life in endurance racing applications.

    While Cam phasers provide tremendous efficiency benefits, they also present some limitations when it comes to performance Camshafts. In turn, COMP Cams has developed U.S. Patented Cam Phaser Limiter and Lock Kits for Chrysler HEMI 5.7L, 6.1L and 6.4L V8 engines. The limiter kits limit maximum Cam phasing to 14 crank degrees (7 Cam degrees) to provide the necessary piston to valve clearance when using larger aftermarket Camshafts. Meanwhile, lock kits take all movement out of the phaser. Combining these performance modifications with more aggressive Cam profiles will result in larger upper RPM gains without sacrificing any bottom end or mid-range performance. COMP Cams Phaser Limiter and Lock Kits are one-of-a-kind, as they are the first phaser tools designed specifically for HEMI engines.
    This phaser limiter kit for ’08+ Chrysler 5.7-6.4L HEMI engines comes complete with the phaser limiter, limiter tool and instructions for proper installation. This kit limits the range of cam movement to 14 degrees.
