Furthermore, these benefits won’t cost you the Earth! Rather than throwing the entire factory diverter valve system in the trash (like other manufacturer’s “solutions”), the DV+ keeps what works, and replaces what doesn’t. It retains the factory solenoid and ECU control to ensure simple installation and reliable operation.

The newly released T9388 is the latest addition to the DV+ range of diverter valves from GFB (Go Fast Bits). It is designed as a complete drop-in replacement for the OEM diverter valve in late-model Mercedes vehicles.

The FA24 engine in the 2022+ WRX now uses an electronically controlled factory diverter in place of the pneumatic bypass valve found on all previous turbo Subaru engines. This is controlled by the ECU, and whilst it sounds like an advancement in technology, in some ways it is a step backwards. It may react to throttle closures faster than a pneumatic valve, but longevity and boost sealing is an issue with these types of valve because their valve mechanism is made entirely of moulded plastic. Importantly though, the factory electronic valve cannot open and close progressively – it’s either open or shut, resulting in less than optimum throttle response and drivability. The DV+ design solves all the shortcomings of the factory electronic diverter valve, replacing the plastic valve assembly with precision CNC machined metal components, and also changes the operation method so it can open and close progressively wilst retaining electronic control. This ensures ultimate boost holding and durability, and the best possible throttle response.
Performance Diverter Valve , this valve has:
SHARPER THROTTLE RESPONSE
• FASTER BOOST RECOVERY ON GEARSHIFT
• SOLVES BOOST LEAKING ISSUES
• BUILT TO LAST

Like all valves in the DV+ family, the T9382 offers significant benefits over factory-fitted electronic diverter valves – sharper throttle response, faster boost recovery on gearshift or brief throttle lifts, improved boost holding, and unrivalled longevity.
Where the T9382 differs from the T9352 DV+ is that it includes a low-profile integrated solenoid, rather than disassembling the factory diverter valve and re-using the solenoid. This is beneficial in cases where the factory diverter has aged to the point where it makes sense to replace the factory diverter entirely. The T9382 also has a lower profile than the T9352, meaning it can be installed on Mini N18 engine (for a much simpler installation than T9353), and on other Peugeot models where clearance was an issue.
This means the T9382 can be used to replace the factory diverter valve entirely rather than re-use the solenoid

Like all valves in the DV+ family, the T9381 offers significant benefits over factory-fitted electronic diverter valves – sharper throttle response, faster boost recovery on gearshift or brief throttle lifts, improved boost holding, and unrivalled longevity.
Where the T9381 differs from the T9351 DV+ is that it includes a low-profile integrated solenoid, rather than disassembling the factory diverter valve and re-using the solenoid.
This means the T9381 can be used to replace the factory diverter valve entirely rather than re-use the solenoid, or its low height allows it to be used on cars where a lack of clearance would prevent the fitment of a T9351 DV+. Perfect examples would include the EA888 gen3 engine found in the 2013.5 VW GLI, any MQB platform with an IS38 turbo and/or an aftermarket intake, or the 4.0 TFSI from 2012-2017.
