We started from the ground up for our DCT cooler design, equipping it with a new 1.25″ thick core resulting in a 42-percent increase in core volume and 69-percent bump in external fin surface area. The improvements are more than just skin deep too, as we updated this core with a dual-pass flow and internal fins for improved heat transfer. Combined, our upgraded features improve the heat rejection characteristics for better heat regulation of the DCT in your M2 Competition, M3, or M4. The Mishimoto 2015-2020 BMW DCT Transmission Cooler is available in a silver powder coat finish and is covered by the Mishimoto Lifetime warranty for a worry-free installation.

    The transmission is the backbone of your RAM. It’s responsible for transmitting large amounts of torque from your 6.7L Cummins powerplant, and that torque generates heat. If that heat isn’t dissipated, it can destroy your transmission. The transmission cooler does a good job of keeping trans fluid temperatures in check, but only if the fluid can reach it. The stock cooling system of both the 68-RFE and Aisin AS69RC utilize an in-line thermal bypass valve that controls the flow of fluid to the transmission cooler. The purpose of this valve is to prevent transmission fluid from flowing to the cooler until it reaches operating temperature. The thermostat inside this valve is prone to failure, however, and when that happens, the fluid never flows to the cooler and the transmission can overheat. That’s why Mishimoto has developed an improved thermal bypass valve kit for your 2019+ Dodge Ram 6.7L Cummins. Our CNC-machined aluminum thermal bypass valve not only looks better than the stock unit, but it performs better too. The Mishimoto thermal bypass valve utilizes a replaceable thermostat that is more durable than the stock thermostat and opens about 10 F earlier. This allows fluid to flow to the cooler sooner, without over-cooling. For owners in hot climates, the Mishimoto valve includes a bypass that allows full flow to the transmission cooler, regardless of temperature. The bypass can be easily swapped out with only a wrench for summer or winter driving. The Mishimoto thermal bypass valve flows better in both configurations than the stock valve for more effective cooling. Cooling fins machined into the valve body add even more heat dissipation.     CSF BMW F9X X3M/X4M High-Performance Heat Exchanger and Transmission Cooler Module

    Rock Guard: CSF knows the kind of punishment the front of a car can take on or off the track. The wrong bit of debris flying through the front grille can quickly punch a hole in a cooler. Because the Transmission cooler sits at the very front of the center cooling stack, it is quite vulnerable to damage. The factory grille is the only form of protection for the OEM transmission cooler. However, this still isn’t the level of protection many race teams and enthusiasts are comfortable with. To address this concern, CSF has incorporated a rock guard to keep your cooler safe and your X3M/X4M running strong in the event of debris making it through the front grille.
    CSF combined the Heat Exchanger and Transmission Cooler into a cooling module that comes as a single unit. The combination not only solves two cooling issues for the X3M and X4M, but also lowers costs which are passed along to the customer.
    The CSF #8331 Cooling product is designed to be a “Drop-In Fit” application. The product will install in the OEM Location with no modifications necessary unless otherwise noted or instructions are included in the product package. Please see the manufacturer repair manual for standard installation instructions. If you do not feel confident installing this product CSF recommends taking it to a qualified installation facility.
