This component acts as a thermostat, restricting fluid flow to the external transmission cooler based on temperature. The included thermostat opens at the stock temperature of 160F (71C) but can be customized to suit your needs with any available Mishimoto thermostat. The Mishimoto thermal bypass kit also includes a bypass that can replace the thermostat, allowing constant fluid flow to the transmission cooler. The bypass is ideal for vehicles requiring maximum cooling while operating in extreme driving conditions or hot climates. This kit easily installs within one hour and connects directly to all factory cooler piping.
