CSF Motorsport Dual-Pass Competition Radiator

The CSF engineering team has spent over a year working with companies like Drift HQ as well as Pro/Am Drifters to develop and refine the ultimate Drift Radiator. This new Universal Radiator can be used in any racing or motorsport application, but it was purpose built for Drift Vehicles. The size makes it ideal for rear mounted setups and offers an optional shroud with fans capable of keeping the hottest cars cool when sideways. This is the largest Drift Radiator Module on the market and delivers the cooling performance you need to compete.

    The original OEM B58 heat exchanger is a 1-row unit that is 27mm thick. In comparison, CSF has used its industry-exclusive world’s largest 2-row core (68mm) with CSF’s B-Tube technology. A unique tank design allows the larger CSF core to still fit into the OEM cooling system housing. Another critical feature of the CSF BMW B58 high-performance heat exchanger is its unique triple-pass flow design. The water traveling through the upgraded heat exchanger flows through the radiator three times before exiting the cooler and flowing back into the manifold charge cooler.     CSF Porsche 955/957 Cayenne / Audi Q7 / VW Touareg Heavy-Duty Performance Radiator

    The original OE radiator from Porsche is a plastic tank radiator with a single row aluminum core design. While this is generally accepted as good quality and durable, it just isn’t enough for the Cayenne. The 955/957 is notorious for having cooling issues. Just driving down the road on a hot day can overheat the engine and off-roading and towing/hauling is much harder on the cooling system. On top of that, these SUVs are 15-20 years old now. Those still running the original radiator have definitely lost some cooling efficiency due to bend/damaged fins and tube clogging. Needless to say, CSF had a lot of issues to address while designing this new radiator.

    CSF has over 5 decades of experience manufacturing radiators. So when it comes to keeping your engine cool and your 1M/135i/335i/Z4 running at its best, a CSF High-Performance All-Aluminum Radiator is the obvious choice. Designed to perform on the street or at the track, a performance radiator is a must-have for both high horsepower builds as well as race vehicles which need added cooling performance in motorsports environments. This radiator features a 2-Row core with CSF’s exclusive B-Tube Technology: Unlike a regular oval shape “O” type radiator tube, CSF uses a specially engineered tube in the shape of a “B”. These “B-tubes” are carefully formed and then brazed over the seam to seal. CSF is able to use thinner and lighter aluminum material (with better cooling efficiency) because this design is actually stronger than normal “O” shape tubes that are welded. The design (inlet in the middle of the tube that is seam brazed) increases the heat transfer surface area of the tubes by approximately 15% over regular tubes – producing the efficiency of two smaller tubes vs. one large tube within the same space criteria. With “B-tubes” you are able to get “dual liquid laminar flow”. CSF also uses ultra efficient multi louvered fins that are carefully and precisely aligned to maximize airflow through each radiator core. Fin specifications are carefully measured and calculated for each application, and tested for maximum heat rejection efficiency in our wind-tunnel lab.

    Mishimoto 2015+ BMW F8X M3/M4 Performance Heat Exchanger

    Improve the cooling capacity on your 2015-2020 BMW M3 or M4 with the Mishimoto Performance Heat Exchanger. Air-to-water intercooling is the means of more efficient heat transfer from the charged air, but it now requires an additional heat exchanger mounted to the front of the vehicle in order to dissipate the transferred heat. The S55 powering the F8X generation of the M?s packs quite a punch and while the BMW engineers laid a solid foundation for dissipating the heat from the intercooling system, but we saw some room to improve. We started by eliminating any bits of plastic from the design, and replacing the end tanks, and ports with durable aluminum. We kept the dual-pass flow through the core for maximum cooling properties, while expanding the core into the available space. Our new design features a 42mm thick core while extending the height by 150mm totaling in a 60-percent increase in core volume and adding 180-percent to the external fin surface area. The end result of our improvements is a 9 F drop in global intercooling system temperatures over the stock unit. Size isn?t the only thing that matters with this heat exchanger. Since the heat exchanger sits front and center in the M3 and M4?s cooling stack, It’s susceptible to damage from road debris. To keep your air-to-water system safe, our heat exchanger comes equipped with a steel mesh stone guard for an added layer of protection for the fins. We also incorporated a variable fin pitch for the lower 12 rows on the core in order to facilitate cooling to DCT equipped M?s. Finally, our 2015-2020 BMW F8X M3/M4 Performance Heat Exchanger also includes the Mishimoto Lifetime Warranty for a worry-free install.
