Mishimoto has developed a cold-side intercooler pipe and boot kit for the 2011+ 6.6L Duramax. The plastic factory pipe and boot do not stand a chance against the heat and pressure of your high-powered Duramax; upgrade to the Mishimoto kit for increased reliability, durability, and performance. The Mishimoto cold-side pipe is constructed of 3.5″ mandrel bent aluminum with a polished finish. This pipe kit features a two piece design for easy installation and removal, as well as a CNC-machined AIT sensor bung allowing you to retain your factory AIT sensor. This cold-side pipe eliminates restrictive bends in the factory pipe, allowing for improvements in airflow, power, and EGTs. This kit includes Mishimoto silicone boots with DuraCore technology. Mishimoto DuraCore technology is the synthetic material that comprises the innermost layer of all Mishimoto silicone diesel boots. Compared to normal silicone, DuraCore provides superior resistance to heat, pressure, fuel, and oil. This effectively increases the life of our boots by preventing leaks and blowouts. To add even more reliability this kit includes Mishimoto constant-tension T-bolt clamps for accurate and consistent holding power. The 2011+ Ford 6.7L Super Duty is a workhorse of a truck and the go-to pickup for many of the hardest working people on Earth. The 6.7L Powerstroke that propels the 2011+ F-250 and F-350 is robust and reliable, but it’s not without its weaknesses. Like any large-displacement turbodiesel, the 6.7L generates an immense amount of heat and strain on the charge air cooling system. Luckily, the engineers at Ford fitted the Super Duty with a robust secondary cooling system that’s dedicated to keeping fuel and air temps in check. While the secondary radiator and air-to-water intercooler are cut from the same cloth as the heavy-duty 6.7L, the degas tank that supplies them both with coolant is not quite as durable.Anybody who has worked on an aging cooling system knows that anything plastic tends to crack and shatter with time. The 6.7L Powerstroke’s secondary cooling system degas tank is no exception, which is why Mishimoto has designed an all-aluminum replacement.Our secondary degas tank for the 2011+ Ford 6.7L Powerstroke ditches the plastic construction in favor of aircraft-grade aluminum that’s as durable and hard-wearing as the rest of your Super Duty. Like the stock tank, our degas tank includes internal baffles to keep the coolant around the outlet and prevent aeration, no matter how rough the road gets. The Mishimoto secondary degas tank also features a 15.65-percent greater coolant capacity than the stock tank to add even more cooling potential to your 6.7L’s secondary cooling system. The Mishimoto BMW N55 Baffled Oil Catch Can is designed and engineered to reduce carbon build-up, a common issue with the direct fuel injection N55 engines. The Mishimoto BMW N55 catch can kit uses proven engineering from the Mishimoto 2-Port Compact Baffled Oil Catch Can, with its bronze filter and internal baffle, to better separate the oil from the crankcase vapors. The engineers at Mishimoto designed a CNC-machined lid that features large inlet and outlet ports in order to match the inner dimension of the CCV hose. This baffled oil catch can will defend your intercooler, intake system, and VANOS system from oil blow-by and help maintain proper octane levels to reduce potential detonation. The kit comes with two direct-fit hoses, which require no modification to the engine cover, and one direct-fit mounting bracket that not only is extremely easy to install, but also mounts the can in a serviceable location! Two CNC-machined aluminum, 3/4in barb fittings connect the hoses to the can. And, like every Mishimoto oil catch can, this baffled catch can kit comes with the Mishimoto Lifetime Warranty! Our catch cans are different from most air-oil-separator (AOS) systems on a few levels. First, our catch cans are not heated. This means that all of the blow-by is able to condense in the can, including low-octane oil vapors and contaminated fuel vapors. Most AOS systems also drain the blow-by back into the oil pan, while our catch cans trap the blow-by and keep it out of the engine permanently. If you’ve seen what We’ve seen in the bottom of our catch cans, you won’t want that draining back into your oil either.
