Mishimoto 11+ Chevy 6.6L Duramax Cold Side Pipe and Boot Kit

Mishimoto has developed a cold-side intercooler pipe and boot kit for the 2011+ 6.6L Duramax. The plastic factory pipe and boot do not stand a chance against the heat and pressure of your high-powered Duramax; upgrade to the Mishimoto kit for increased reliability, durability, and performance. The Mishimoto cold-side pipe is constructed of 3.5″ mandrel bent aluminum with a polished finish. This pipe kit features a two piece design for easy installation and removal, as well as a CNC-machined AIT sensor bung allowing you to retain your factory AIT sensor. This cold-side pipe eliminates restrictive bends in the factory pipe, allowing for improvements in airflow, power, and EGTs. This kit includes Mishimoto silicone boots with DuraCore technology. Mishimoto DuraCore technology is the synthetic material that comprises the innermost layer of all Mishimoto silicone diesel boots. Compared to normal silicone, DuraCore provides superior resistance to heat, pressure, fuel, and oil. This effectively increases the life of our boots by preventing leaks and blowouts. To add even more reliability this kit includes Mishimoto constant-tension T-bolt clamps for accurate and consistent holding power. The cold-side pipe and boot kit is the perfect addition to the Mishimoto 6.6L Duramax Performance Intercooler. This kit is made in the USA and includes our signature lifetime warranty.

The GTI has a long pedigreed history in the realm of hot-hatchbacks, especially when it comes to models powered with 4-cylinder turbo engines. The stock piping in Volkswagen?s star player, however, doesn?t quite live up to the hype. Full of bends, restrictive diameters, and constructed from degradation-prone materials, the stock charge pipes can be a hold-up for your MK7, especially when cranking up the boost. Here at Mishimoto, we improved on the intercooler piping system so that you can make your hot-hatch even hotter. We started with replacing all of the plastic and rubber with a more robust construction of mandrel-bent aluminum, and 5-layer, heat resistant silicone couplers to ensure a sturdy and long-lasting connection to and from the intercooler. We also reduced the amount of bends on top of increasing the piping diameter to 2.75 inches, together equating to a 30-percent increase in air flow, making these the perfect combination with an aftermarket tune.The Mishimoto MK7 Intercooler Pipe Kit is available in a polished or wrinkle black finish to suit the style of your MK7.     BMW’s M lineup is the benchmark when it comes to performance luxury vehicles. The S55 that powers the 2015-2020 BMW F8X M3, M4 and M2 Competition is dripping with technology, which includes an air-to-water. Where BMW’s intercooler design was enough to help bring this generation of M’s to their peak, we here at Mishimoto found some weaknesses to address. We started with the end tanks. The Mishimoto intercooler features full, cast aluminum end tanks, TIG-welded to our bar-and-plate core for maximum durability as you increase the boost in your Bimmer. Our end tanks also include internal air diverters on both the inlet and outlet to ensure an even flow of charged air through the core. When it comes to the core, bigger is better, and we were able to expand the size of our core in all dimensions, resulting in a 29% increase in core volume while abstaining from any modifications when it comes to the installation. Our new core also features a unique single-pass internal fin layout for the coolant passage for optimal heat transfer from the charged air to the coolant. With our improvements combined, we saw the Mishimoto 2015-2020 BMW F8X M3 and M4 Performance Intercooler increase flow through the core by 16% and recorded a 12°F drop in intake air temperatures when tested with the Mishimoto Performance Heat Exchanger. We also recorded an average increase of 11 whp and 8 wtq during our testing with peak gains of up to 31 whp and 10 wtq.
