Our performance air intake for the 2017-2020 Honda Civic Si is finally here! This intake was engineered specifically for the new turbocharged Civic and is a direct-fit modification that will provide enhanced engine performance and improved throttle response ? plus it will add a little flair under the hood! This intake has a unique and aggressive tone under acceleration and boost that will be very noticeable. The steel wire reinforced silicone intake arm improves airflow and keeps intake air temperatures under control as opposed to an aluminum design. The black-powdercoated steel airbox covers and protects the Mishimoto high performance air filter from engine bay heat and eliminates the possibility of hydrolock with the placement being closer to the hood. The box makes use of the stock air diverter found right underneath the hood that directed airflow into the stock airbox. The MAF housing has a venturi-style inlet, bringing in much smoother airflow compared to the conventional MAF housing design. This intake makes consistent dyno-proven gains of about 4hp and 4ft-lbs of torque and was designed in the USA at our Delaware headquarters. This unit is a complete bolt-on part that functions perfectly with the stock tune and includes the Mishimoto Lifetime Warranty, ensuring superior product quality and craftsmanship.
Performance cold air intake kit engineered to increase airflow for improved horsepower and throttle response. Includes high-quality components for enhanced filtration, efficient airflow, and a precise fit.
There’s no question that the 2017+ Honda Civic Type R is built to perform. From gaping grills, towering spoilers, and bright red splattered on every surface, Honda made it clear that the FK8 and subsequent FL5 are designed for speed. Where we have already improved on other components for improving speed, we turned to the longevity of the sporty Civic with our Aluminum Expansion Tank. The Mishimoto 2017+ Honda Civic Type R Aluminum Expansion Tank removes the eyesore that is the conspicuously beige stock tank from the engine bay, replacing it with a sleek all-aluminum design that looks more at home under the hood with the option for a color-matching Rallye Red or stealthy black micro-wrinkle finish. Where the plastic tank is great for mass production, It’s destined to fail with repeated heating and cooling cycles. Our expansion tank design will take the worry out of containing your coolant, and can stand up to the oven that is the Civic Type R’s engine bay. We have incorporated internal baffling within our tank to keep your coolant level during aggressive driving. The Mishimoto Aluminum Expansion Tank also includes a sight glass for quick visibility on fluid levels, and is covered under the Mishimoto Lifetime Warranty for a worry-free install.

The 2017 Honda Civic Type R is the current king of the hot hatchbacks, and It’s easy to see why. The mighty K20C1 produces 305hp and-with the help of Honda’s state-of-the-art torque-vectoring differential and suspension-delivered a record-shattering lap time around the Nurburgring, immediately putting it on a level of its own. However, performance like this comes at a cost. The complexity of combining a direct-injected fuel delivery system with high-compression and turbocharged power leaves the top-end components susceptible to the symptoms of blow-by, like clogged intake valves and intercooler internals coated with oil. The result is unwarranted temperature reduction of this year’s scolding hot hatch. End the assault of engine blow-by in your 2017 Honda Civic Type R with the Mishimoto Direct-Fit Baffled Oil Catch Can kit. This kit includes everything you need to protect your investment in a limited run FK8 Type R. It contains hoses designed specifically for the K20C1’s PCV system, simplifying the installation process. Nothing puts a damper on a day at the track with your 2017-2021 Honda Civic Type R quite like cutting your track time short due to overheating. It’s no secret now that the FK8 struggles to keep the temperatures of its fluids at the correct level. We here at Mishimoto decided to take some of the heat off the K20C1 with the Honda Civic Type R Direct-Fit Oil Cooler Kit. Honda fitted this engine with a liquid-to-liquid stacked plate oil cooler from the factory. During normal driving on a factory tune, this can retain proper oil temperatures. However, once the CTR is put into the environment it was intended for, or with the addition of an aggressive tune, this stock unit can’t keep up. The Mishimoto Direct-Fit Oil Cooler Kit gives the stock system a hand by adding a 19-row air-to-air cooler into the system, which utilizes the FK8?s sculpted and aero-centric front bumper to drop oil temperatures by 15?F. This cooler is held in place by a pair of application-specific brackets, designed to keep proper airflow through the front wheel well. Your Civic’s oil is securely transported to and from the cooler by way of sturdy stainless steel braided lines featuring durable -AN fittings. The 2017-2021 Honda Civic Type R Oil Cooler Kit is available as a thermostatic kit to eliminate the potential of overcooling, and with the option of a silver or black cooler. As with all of our products, this kit also includes the Mishimoto Lifetime Warranty for a worry-free installation.
High-performance engine oil cooler designed to regulate oil temperature and protect critical engine components. Efficient heat dissipation improves durability, maintains lubrication, and ensures reliable performance.
It’s no easy feat to be dubbed as one of the fastest front-wheel-drive productions cars in the world. Honda put all of their engineering prowess behind this achievement, but since the 2017-2021 Honda Civic Type R finds itself in the gray area of track fiend and commuter car, some sacrifices had to be made. One of those sacrifices comes in the form of the underperforming intercooling system that the FK8 is born with. Under intense driving conditions, or just being caught in a sweltering summer day, the stock tube-and-fin intercooler soaks with heat, quelling the performance of your CTR.We here at Mishimoto aim to put that power back into your hot-Honda by keeping it cool with the Mishimoto 2017-2021 Honda Civic Type R Performance Intercooler Kit. We started by increasing the overall size of the core two more than double that of the stock dimensions. The 4.7 inch thick core boasts a 169-percent increase in overall volume, and bumps the external fin surface area by 189-percent for optimal heat rejection properties. We didn?t stop with the size increase either. To keep the charged air flowing properly through the larger core, we updated to a bar-and-plate core construction. The robust design offers not only improved flow characteristics, but also aides in transferring heat away from the charged air. The plastic end tanks are a thing of the past, and have been replaced with our sleek cast aluminum designs to more effectively direct airflow to and from the piping. With the Mishimoto Performance Intercooler Kit, the Intercooler isn?t the only component that received an update, and we took the liberty of overhauling the entire intercooling system. Honda carried some of those sacrifices in the name of mass production over to the intercooler piping as well. The restrictive piping diameters limit the K20C1?s potential to turn up the boost with tunes, and the rubber sections are destined to deteriorate down the line. We updated these charged air channels with a 2.5? mandrel-

It’s time to turn up the heat on your hot-Honda with the Mishimoto Performance Intake Kit for you 2017-2021 Honda Civic Type R. The Civic Type R has a long history of showing off the maximum potential that Honda can achieve on its Civic platform. However, we here in the States never had the opportunity to experience Honda’s hottest hatchbacks until the FK8 made its way across the Pacific Ocean.Even though the CTR is the cream of the crop when it comes to Honda’s compact chassis, It’s still a mass-produced car, meaning there is still room to improve, especially when it comes to the intake system. Luckily, the OEM engineers laid the ground work for us attaching an aluminum runner from the turbo to the induction boot. This meant we only had to focus on what was attached to the end of the runner. For starters, we ditched the turbulence generating, accordion-styled intake hose and replaced it with 5 layers of silicone embedded with heat-resistant fibers. Our new and improved hose is also reinforced with steel wire ensuring that it keeps its shape even under the impressive boost the K20C1 puts out. On top of strengthening the intake boot, We’ve also made sure to increase the diameter and smooth out the interior which greatly assists the overall 42-percent increase in flow throughout the full system. The other contributing factors to our air flow increase are our precision adjusted MAF housing and improved airbox. We started by first separating the two, and then redesigning the MAF housing to ensure an increased flow but also retain safe fuel trim perimeters and run check engine light free on the stock tune. Our airbox grew in size to accommodate our freer flowing filter, and retains the factory rubber snorkel securing the dedicated intake channel incorporated in the CTR?s hood. Combining all of these improvements unlocks a max gain of 16.7 whp and 20.1 wtq from your 2.0T.The stealth black color scheme retains an OEM+ look to your Type R?s engine ba
