Proper oil temperature regulation is key to extending and preserving the life of your stock or high performance engine. Keep your temperatures in check with the Mishimoto universal oil cooler kit. This kit is applicable for most vehicles and includes all key components for reducing oil temperatures and providing your engine with extra protection against oil degradation.–This kit includes a billet anodized aluminum sandwich plate in either standard or thermostatic form. The optional Mishimoto thermostatic sandwich plate provides additional temperature control and will limit oil flow to the cooler until optimal temperatures are reached, making it ideal for those in cooler climates. The included core is our proven Mishimoto 16 row stacked plate cooler which can withstand high fluid pressures and significantly reduce oil temperatures while exhibiting minimal pressure loss.–This kit includes both a -16 and M20-1.5 sandwich plate adapter which supports fitment for most makes and models. This kit also includes pre-assembled stainless steel braided oil lines with -10AN fittings and dowty seals for durable, leak free connections. Whether you are piloting a boosted rotary or blown small block the Mishimoto universal oil cooler kit will provide the efficiency you need to stay on the track and out of the shop. As with all our products this kit includes the Mishimoto Lifetime Warranty. Please note: Mishimoto fully inspects and cleans all products prior to packaging. However, it is recommended that customers flush the oil cooler with one quart of clean oil prior to installation to remove any debris accumulated during shipping. Sometimes, you just need a simple, no-frills cooler to ensure your oil stays at the right temperature, no matter what. This Mishimoto tube-and-fin crossflow performance oil cooler is what you’ve been searching for. We designed this cooler using a highly efficient tube-and-fin core to meet the demands of high-performance applications while maintaining light weight. But don’t take its simple exterior for granted, this cooler packs in the performance. The leading edges of our cooler’s tubes are rounded to allow incoming air to pass smoothly through the core without deflection. There, the louvered fins force the air to wind through the core, increasing time in contact with the fins and improving heat transfer. Finally, the interiors of the tubes feature turbulators that increase tube surface area and agitate the oil to ensure it contacts the entire tube, further increasing heat transfer. These features combine to create a lightweight oil cooler that’s efficient enough to meet the needs of even high-performance vehicles. The full-aluminum TIG-welded end tanks ensure leak-free performance in the harshest environments. The compact 23-inch x 4-inch x 3-inch overall size and universal M8x1.25 mounting bosses on the top and bottom of the core make mounting this oil cooler in the bumper or front cooling stack easy. -10 ORB inlet and outlet are compatible with many widely available -AN adapters including Mishimoto’s -10 ORB to -10AN and 3/4-inch fittings. Combine this with our PFTE or CPE braided steel lines and -AN fittings for a bulletproof oil cooling solution. Give your MK5 and MK6 GTI/Golf R the cooling it deserves with the Mishimoto Performance Intercooler. Volkswagen might have invented the concept of the hot-hatch, but the spicy Golf can still use a helping hand when it comes to keeping its cool. The stock intercooler system equipped in the GTI is adequate for the daily commute. However, with the popularity of boosting, a component like the tube-and-fin heat exchanger struggles to keep up. Coupled with the combination of plastic in the construction, It’s only a matter of time before you start to see boost leaks. We here at Mishimoto’started from the ground up with the MK5 and MK6 GTI/Golf R Performance Intercooler. We ditched the plastic in favor of fully cast aluminum end tanks that can handle any amount of boost you can throw at them. We also incorporated an internal air diverter into our end tanks to make use of the full core. The Mishimoto MK5 and MK6 Volkswagen GTI/Golf R Performance Intercooler core replaces the lightweight tube-and-fin construction with a more robust bar-and-plate setup. This heavy-duty construction lends itself to improved durability and heat dissipation. Our core has a 46-percent increase in core volume with a 97-percent increase in external fin surface area. Combined with our improved end tanks, the complete package improves flow by 9-percent and drops 20 F from the charged air across the core. The Mishimoto MK5 and MK6 GTI Intercooler Kit also includes 5-layer silicone couplers and a CNC-machined adapter to ensure a perfect fit with the stock pipes.
