Black-coated tailpipes with laser-engraved Akrapovic logo are set within the bumper inserts and with that they fully complements the lines of the car. Constructed from lightweight, high-grade titanium alloys, which reduce weight by 51% over the stock system, the addition of this system will add power and torque comparable to the stock system. To add to the sensory enjoyment, the sound offers aural pleasure from the moment the ignition is turned on, with special care being taken to provide acoustic feedback with a deep and harmonic nature, creating a great sound with absolutely no compromise on comfort.It is a simple plug-and-play installation, and no remapping is needed.The Slip-On Race system can be optionally combined with Link Pipe Set (SS). This product is constructed from high-grade titanium, with integrated acoustic reflectors, designed to reflect the external sound toward the cabin and enhance the overall acoustic experience of The Akrapovic exhaust. Two integrated exhaust valves, each on one side of the muffler and operated by The Akrapovic control kit, tailor the gas flow for a rewarding sound experience. The sound has a linear flow based on the rpm and engine load, offering a smooth and harmonic tone at lower revs and rising to a distinctive V8 rumble in the mid-range before reaching a crescendo of high-frequency sporty sound when the revs rise higher.The exhaust is finished with two sets of eye-catching tailpipes featuring a titanium inner sleeve and a hand-made carbon-fibre outer sleeve. The complex parts of this Slip-On Line (Titanium), including the valve housings and the two collectors, are all cast in the company’s in-house titanium foundry. The system is 11.35 kg (50.7%) lighter than the standard stock system. It offers power and torque increases of 7.6 kW (10.3 hp) and 12.6 Nm, respectively, both at 5,750 rpm, when tested on The Akrapovic dyno against a BMW XM Label with an M exhaust system. The plug-and-play installation means no remapping is required, and it comes with EC/ECE type approval. A further upgrade of the Slip-On Line (Titanium) system is available through the optional Evolution Link Pipe Set (Titanium), aimed at those who want higher performance gains. Designed for exclusive track use only, installation of the Evolution Link Pipe Set (Titanium) means that the EC/ECE type approval for the Slip-On Line (Titanium) is no longer valid. The Slip-On Line (Titanium) exhaust system is ECE type approved for cars equipped with an Otto/gasoline particulate filter.
