From the factory, the N20/26 and N55 engines are a prowess of German engineering, but the stock intercooler unit poses as a weak link for your turbocharged Bimmer. The tube-and-fin design coupled with plastic end tanks makes for the perfect environment for heat to set up residence and throttle the power of your 2, 3, or 4-series, especially for those running a tune. Mishimoto is here to unlock the full potential of your N20/26 and N55 engines with our Performance Intercooler specifically designed for the F22/F30 chassis. Our unique 6? thick step-core design, adds a 115? angle to the top section to allow for additional charged air cooling without fully obstructing other heat exchangers. Tubes and fins are a thing of the past with this design as we engineered our intercooler with a bar-and-plate construction optimizing this intercooler for heat dissipation with minimal pressure drop.     CSF 2014+ BMW M3/M4 (F8X) Top Mount Charge-Air-Cooler – Crinkle Black

    The S55 suffers heavily from heat soak. Many tuners witnessed this early on after doing multiple dyno pulls and seeing significant drops in power after each consecutive pass. Many F8X owners experienced the same loss of power on the track as the engine just could not cool off during laps. The solution is two fold: The Charge-Air-Cooler (CSF #8082/8082R) & Front Mount Heat Exchanger (CSF #8075/8075V) work together to keep the intake temps down and power up. The factory units simply cannot dissipate enough heat to keep up with prolonged performance driving. CSF’s Charge-Air-Cooler boasts a core size that is 60% larger, greatly increasing the capacity for heat transfer from the hot charge air coming from the turbos. Paired with the Front Mount Heat Exchanger the system is able to maintain lower intake temps and keep your BMW F8X’s power up.
    The CSF Charge-Air-Cooler boasts a 60% larger core size than factory, greatly increasing the capacity for heat transfer from the hot charge air. Paired with the CSF Heat Exchanger (CSF #8075) the system is able lower your F8X’s IATs.
    The CSF #8082 Cooling product is designed to be a “Drop-In Fit” application. The product will install in the OEM Location with no modifications necessary unless otherwise noted or instructions are included in the product package. Please see the manufacturer repair manual for standard installation instructions. If you do not feel confident installing this product CSF recommends taking it to a qualified installation facility.
