The same intercooler cores used in this application are the same style used in other CSF air-to-air systems developed for the Urus/RS Q8/Cayenne Turbo, Audi RS6/RS7, and Porsche 992 Turbo/S, with incredible results. These cores eliminate heat soak and lower Intake Air Temperatures (IATs) much more efficiently than traditional Bar & Plate designs. This gives us maximum performance for extended periods of time under demanding driving conditions and in vehicles with increased power levels through modifications and tuning. The 4.0L twin-turbo V8 in the SQ7/SQ8 starts to experience debilitating heat soak and progressively increasing IATs with the OEM intercoolers. This results in the ECU pulling engine timing and drastically decreasing power output. The CSF by PWR Intercoolers solve this issue and allow vehicles to perform at optimal levels consistently and for prolonged periods of time.
The CSF by PWR SQ7/SQ8 Twin Intercooler Set features Formula-1 grade cores which offer the greatest reduction in IATs and help eliminate heat soak. The Billet Aluminum construction offers the greatest strength and durability possible.

The product will install in the OEM Location with no modifications necessary unless otherwise noted or instructions are included in the product package. CSF designed and engineered the 992 Carrera intercooler to be a true Plug-and-Play “Drop-in Fit” unit. Utilizing all factory mounting points, the installation is straightforward and requires no modifications. The most important feature of the CSF by PWR 992 Carrera Intercooler System is the Formula-1 grade intercooler cores. CSF’s strategic relationship with PWR has allowed the inclusion of these cores, which is unlike any other available in the performance aftermarket. These cores are the same style used in other CSF air-to-air systems previously developed for the 992 Turbo/S and 991 GT2RS with incredible results. The PWR cores eliminate heat soak and lower Intake Air Temperatures (IATs) much more efficiently than traditional Bar & Plate or Tube & Fin designs. The traditional intercooler cores that are typically much heavier and larger to improve cooling capacity. Because the PWR core is able to achieve greater performance results in a smaller size, CSF was able to design the intercooler system to fit in the stock location using all the OEM hardware, ducts, and shrouds for an easy drop if fit installation.

The S55 suffers heavily from heat soak. Many tuners witnessed this early on after doing multiple dyno pulls and seeing significant drops in power after each consecutive pass. Many F8X owners experienced the same loss of power on the track as the engine just could not cool off during laps. The solution is two fold: The Charge-Air-Cooler (CSF #8082/8082R) & Front Mount Heat Exchanger (CSF #8075/8075V) work together to keep the intake temps down and power up. The factory units simply cannot dissipate enough heat to keep up with prolonged performance driving. CSF’s Charge-Air-Cooler boasts a core size that is 60% larger, greatly increasing the capacity for heat transfer from the hot charge air coming from the turbos. Paired with the Front Mount Heat Exchanger the system is able to maintain lower intake temps and keep your BMW F8X’s power up.

The S63 4.4L Twin Turbo V8 in the BMW F1X M5/M6 is an absolute monster that responds incredibly well to bolt-on upgrades, larger turbos, and performance tuning. Tuners quickly found that increasing power on the S63 pushed charge air temperatures past the OEM Charge-Air-Coolers’ limits resulting in dangerously high Intake Air Temperatures (IATs). Pure turbos approached CSF to develop a Charge-Air-Cooler upgrade that would hold up to the extreme boost levels their turbos upgrades could generate and keep the car’s IATs in check. The result was the World’s 1st Cast End Tank Designed High-Performance Charge-Air-Cooler Set for the F1X M5/M6. CSF used CFD analysis and testing to create the largest charge-air-cooler that could fit in the factory location. The Top/Bottom, Cross-Flow, Dual-Pass Cores are 28% larger than the factory coolers and offer significant reductions in IATs at increased boost levels.
