The high-temp powder-coating also insulates the tubes from engine heat and protects the tubes from corrosion. The smooth transition bends decrease turbulence, minimize pressure loss, while increasing horsepower and torque. These tubes are also equipped with a billet aluminum factory style adapter that seals with an o-ring. One 1/8″ NPT port which is provided on each tube for a sensor or water-methanol injection.

The CSF N55 Intercooler’s Stepped Core Design maximizes surface area contact and internal intake air-flow volume. The Rounded Front Face Bar/Plate Design optimizes airflow through the core and is a true “Drop-in Fit” Plug-and-Play Design. In testing the CSF Intercooler showed Intake Air Temperatures (IATs) that were 38 deg F (21 deg C) lower than factory after just 3 consecutive pulls from 4k RPM to 5.8K RPM. In that test, the CSF Intercooler maintained stable IATs. While most intercoolers don’t offer immediate performance gains without increasing boost pressure, the CSF Intercooler shows an increase of 15-20hp on stock N55 Powered BMW’s and 25+hp on modified examples.

The intercooler cores are spec’d out by CSF and custom built by PWR. Featuring two rows of rolled cooling tubes with inner fins, these cores make for the most efficient intercoolers available. Because of this, they are able to eliminate heat soak and lower IATs much more efficiently than traditional Bar & Plate or Tube & Fin designs. This gives us maximum performance for extended periods of time under demanding driving conditions and for vehicles with increased power levels through modifications and tuning.
The CSF by PWR Urus/RS Q8 Twin Intercooler Set features Formula-1 grade cores which offer the greatest reduction in IATs and help eliminate heat soak. The Billet Aluminum construction offers the greatest strength and durability possible.
The CSF #8211R Cooling product is designed to be a “Drop-In Fit” application. The product will install in the OEM Location with no modifications necessary unless otherwise noted or instructions are included in the product package.
