Mishimoto 2016+ Honda Civic 1.5T/Si Performance Intercooler Pipe Kit- Wrinkle Red

Help the air flow through the intercooling system of your L15B7 with the Mishimoto Performance Intercooler Pipe Kit for your 2016-2021 Honda Civic 1.5T or 2017-2020 Civic Si! The stock equipment on your Honda Civic is riddled with bends, and is constructed from degradation-prone materials at a restrictive diameter. All of these are characteristics that will limit the potential of your turbo-Civic. We here at Mishimoto want to remove the restriction on the future potential of the L15B7. We started with the size of the pipes. We added 13mm overall to both sides of the piping system bumping the diameters from 42mm to 55mm, equating in a 30-percent increase in size. We also took the liberty of reducing the angles of the bends in the piping, giving the charged air a more direct flow through the intercooling system improving the flow. The size and direction of the piping wasn’t the only change either. Gone is the degradation-prone plastic that makes up the cold-side piping, which has been replaced with a section of mandrel-bent aluminum pipe, giving your intercooler pipe kit an improvement in durability and style. We also took the liberty to replace the rubber in the stock kit with couplers constructed with 5 layers of durable silicone embedded with heat resistant fibers, keeping engine heat out of your intercooled charged air. The result of adding the Mishimoto Intercooler Pipe kit to you 2016-2021 Honda Civic 1.5T or 2017-2020 Civic Si is the addition of flow through your intercooling system, along with a few extra horses under the hood, with the potential for more with a tune.     BMW’s M lineup is the benchmark when it comes to performance luxury vehicles. The S55 that powers the 2015-2020 BMW F8X M3, M4 and M2 Competition is dripping with technology, which includes an air-to-water. Where BMW’s intercooler design was enough to help bring this generation of M’s to their peak, we here at Mishimoto found some weaknesses to address. We started with the end tanks. The Mishimoto intercooler features full, cast aluminum end tanks, TIG-welded to our bar-and-plate core for maximum durability as you increase the boost in your Bimmer. Our end tanks also include internal air diverters on both the inlet and outlet to ensure an even flow of charged air through the core. When it comes to the core, bigger is better, and we were able to expand the size of our core in all dimensions, resulting in a 29% increase in core volume while abstaining from any modifications when it comes to the installation. Our new core also features a unique single-pass internal fin layout for the coolant passage for optimal heat transfer from the charged air to the coolant. With our improvements combined, we saw the Mishimoto 2015-2020 BMW F8X M3 and M4 Performance Intercooler increase flow through the core by 16% and recorded a 12°F drop in intake air temperatures when tested with the Mishimoto Performance Heat Exchanger. We also recorded an average increase of 11 whp and 8 wtq during our testing with peak gains of up to 31 whp and 10 wtq.
