The AWE SwitchPath™ Axle Back Exhaust maintains a 3” diameter, shaves weight from the rear, and retains the factory valve behavior. All tips are individually adjustable, allowing depth into the bumper to be set according to personal taste.Important fitment notes: If you’re equipping the Performance Mid Pipes or an Axle Back, cutting will be required. The Performance Mid Pipes + Axle Back installed together will not require cutting.

The AWE Track Edition Exhaust in Axle Back form provides the most cost-effective aggression in the lineup by retaining the M5’s factory mid-section and replacing the rear sections with Track Edition straight pipes. Please note: These versions are known to get rowdy and may be too much for many. For that reason, this version cannot be returned due to sound preference. Prepare yourself! Think you might want the Cat Back one day? No sweat, we’ve got you covered. We’ve engineered the AWE Exhaust Suite for the M5 as a completely modular configuration that allows you to do just that, at any time. Keep in mind, the Performance Mid Pipes or an Axle Back alone will require cutting, where the full Cat Back experience will bolt right up. AWE’s signature 4″ double walled slash-cut tips finish it off — all individually adjustable, allowing depth into the bumper to be set according to personal taste. Aggressive Sound: A free-flowing, transverse muffler is used to absorb high pitch tones producing a powerful sound and unleashing all available horsepower and torque. The muffler is finished with a high-temp powder-coated metallic black finish and a stamped aFe power logo. Exhaust Valve: This axle-back exhaust system incorporates a factory style exhaust valve which uses the factory exhaust valve motor (not included). The valve helps regulate, direct and control the flow of exhaust gases by opening, closing, or partially obstructing passageways depending on throttle position for maximum performance. Simple Installation: This MACH Force-Xp axle-back exhaust system uses factory mounting locations providing stability and a hassle-free installation. Quad 3-1/2″ Stainless Steel Tips:Finishing off this system are Quad 3-1/2″ diameter, 304 stainless steel tips with laser-etched aFe POWER logos. Brushed 304 SS Construction: The performance axle-back exhaust system is constructed of 2-1/2″ to 3″ mandrel-bent, brushed 304 stainless steel tubing for maximum performance, corrosion resistance and strength eliminating cracking.
