We’ve engineered the AWE Exhaust Suite for the M5 as a completely modular configuration that allows you to do just that, at any time. Keep in mind, the Performance Mid Pipes or an Axle Back alone will require cutting, where the full Cat Back experience will bolt right up. AWE’s signature 4″ double walled slash-cut tips finish it off — all individually adjustable, allowing depth into the bumper to be set according to personal taste. The AWE Touring Edition axle back exhaust is a straight-through concept, yet also features AWE’s proprietary drone-canceling solution, 180 Technology® to produce the perfect, drone-free exhaust note. Made in the USA, AWE axle back exhausts are handcrafted from US-sourced T304L stainless steel, and come with a fitment guarantee, a no Check Engine Light guarantee, and a Lifetime Warranty. Complete with your choice of Diamond Black or Chrome Silver double-walled 80mm tips. IMPORTANT NOTE: Quad tip configurations are only available for the 3/428i. If you are opting for the quad-tip option, be sure to also purchase the quad-tip marking template.

In axle-back form, the SwitchPath™ retains the M5’s factory mid-section, coming in right at the rear axle. The AWE SwitchPath™ Axle Back Exhaust maintains a 3” diameter, shaves weight from the rear, and retains the factory valve behavior. Available separately are the AWE Performance Mid Pipes to replace the factory mid section with a 3” stainless steel X-pipe, mating to the factory Axle Back (or AWE Axle Back, to make a full cat back). And if you’re not ready to do the mid-pipes, no sweat – AWE engineered the Exhaust Suite for the M5 as a completely modular configuration that allows you to do just that, at any time. Simply add the desired configuration to your cart, and roar away. All tip options are AWE’s 4″ slash-cut design, and include the AWE logo and double-walling to ensure a mirror finish even under hard usage. All tips are individually adjustable, allowing depth into the bumper to be set according to personal taste.Important fitment notes: If you’re equipping the Performance Mid Pipes or an Axle Back, cutting will be required.
