Clutch Masters Billet Flexplate For Audi – DL501 Transmission
Factory stamped steel flexplates are prone to cracking over time under high heat and stress. This issue may be a few and far between, but start adding more power to the mix, the chances of a cracked flexplate become greater. Our lightweight billet steel flexplate is a one piece billet solution with a the ring gear being tig welded in place. At 8lbs, our billet flexplate does weigh a little bit more then the factory flexplate, but you can be rest assured that it is significantly more robust.
We developed the flexplate to go hand in hand with our lightweight dampened steel flywheel for the automatic DL501 DSG transmission. Our flexplate will work with the factory flywheel if you just need a replacement flexplate. With our dampened steel flywheel and billet flexplate paired together you will still net an overall weight reduction in rotating mass of about 5 pounds.
