TTE800+ 5046 AMG 63 M157 UPGRADE TURBOCHARGERS
The TTE800+ represents the first hybrid performance upgrade stage for the 5.5L twin-turbo V8 found in the Mercedes-AMG M157 engine platform. Designed to deliver substantial power gains while maintaining excellent spool characteristics and throttle response, the TTE800+ offers a refined balance between performance, drivability, and reliability.
Engineered & Enhanced
To create each pair of TTE800+ turbochargers, we begin with the original turbochargers and implement a series of precision-engineered upgrades.
The factory compressor is replaced with a significantly larger, high-efficiency billet compressor wheel featuring advanced extended tip technology. The compressor cover is CNC-machined to achieve optimal clearance, precisely matched to the new compressor profile. This ensures maximum efficiency, improved airflow, and enhanced boost performance.
On the turbine side, a specially developed TTE clipping process is applied. This precision grinding technique modifies the turbine blade tips with a carefully curved finish to relieve stress introduced during machining. By reducing blade surface area, clipping increases exhaust gas flow, lowers back pressure, and helps reduce exhaust gas temperatures. The result is the ability to safely sustain higher boost levels while improving overall engine efficiency.
An additional benefit of this process is reduced turbine mass. By removing material from the turbine blades, rotational mass is lowered, which decreases inertia and enhances transient response—resulting in faster spool and improved engine dynamics.
Equilibrium – Precision Balancing to Motorsport Standards
Precision balancing is one of the most critical elements in achieving both longevity and performance in a high-performance turbocharger. Every TTE800+ unit undergoes a rigorous, multi-stage balancing process to exceed OEM standards.

Individual components are initially balanced at low speeds up to 2,800 RPM across multiple planes using specialized single-part balancing equipment.

Following assembly, the complete CHRA (Center Housing Rotating Assembly) is dynamically balanced at speeds of up to 250,000 RPM using our in-house VSR (Vibration Sorting Rig) system.
This meticulous process ensures exceptional stability, durability, and acoustic refinement under extreme operating conditions. Each turbocharger set is supplied with a serial-numbered balance test report, certifying its precision and quality assurance.
