The TTE540 upgrade turbochargers are engineered specifically for the AMG 3.0L V6 M276 engine, delivering a significant performance increase while preserving near-OEM drivability and response.

Retaining the original turbocharger housings, the factory compressor wheel is replaced with a TTE CNC-milled aluminum compressor wheel, featuring advanced aerodynamic geometry and a 7+7 blade design. This upgrade substantially increases airflow and power potential. To ensure maximum efficiency, the OEM turbocharger inlets are CNC-machined to provide a seamless transition to the larger compressor wheel, optimizing airflow and reducing turbulence.

On the exhaust side, the original turbine wheel is replaced with a larger, TTE-designed high-flow turbine, significantly reducing exhaust gas backpressure. This results in improved top-end performance while maintaining excellent low-end response. Many customers report that the vehicle retains an OEM-like driving feel—only with noticeably increased power output.

For enhanced durability and reliability under higher load conditions, the turbochargers are fitted with a TTE Motorsport upgraded bearing system.

Precision Balancing & Equilibrium

Achieving precise balance is a critical requirement for every TTE upgrade turbocharger, as longevity, performance, and acoustic refinement are paramount.

Each component is initially balanced individually at low speeds of up to 2,800 RPM across multiple planes using dedicated single-part balancing equipment. Once assembled, the CHRA (Center Housing Rotating Assembly) undergoes dynamic high-speed balancing using our in-house VSR (Vibration Sorting Rig), reaching speeds of up to 250,000 RPM, depending on application.

This meticulous multi-stage balancing process ensures equilibrium standards that exceed OEM specifications. Every turbocharger is supplied with a serial-numbered balance test result document, certifying its precision and quality.

Important Note

When sending a used turbocharger for the upgrade process, please note that TTE does not test, refurbish, or recalibrate the electronic actuator. The actuator supplied by the customer will be re-installed as received.
