    aFe’s Twisted Steel headers outflow and outperform the Ford diesel factory exhaust manifolds for a true, bolt-on performance header system. These precision-designed, hand-crafted headers are mandrel-bent from 1-3/4″ into 2″ heavy duty gauge .120″ wall, brushed finish 304 stainless steel tubing and are 100% hand TIG-welded for strength and durability. Optimized tube lengths deliver true pulse control technology for improved flow and performance across the power band. Laser-cut, heavy duty head flanges are machined to match the exhaust ports for a secure seal. EGT ports with plugs, quality hardware and gaskets are included to ensure hassle-free installation and quality fit.
    Performance Gains: Outflows factory manifolds by up to 7%.
    Brushed Finish 304 Stainless Steel Construction: Constructed of brushed finish .120″ wall, 1-3/4″ into 2″ mandrel-bent 304 stainless steel tubing for strength and durability.
    Optimized Tube Lengths: Tube lengths and mitered collectors are optimized for true pulse control technology which improves flow and performance across the power band.
    Heavy Duty Flanges: These headers incorporate laser-cut, heavy duty flanges machined to match the exhaust ports for a direct-bolt on, leak-free seal.
    EGT Ports: Two 1/8″ NPT exhaust gas temperature (EGT) ports are incorporated. This allows for easy installation of sensors, gauges or testing equipment.

    Construction: These unique up pipes are constructed of 2″ mandrel-bent 304 stainless steel tubing with a .120″ wall for strength and durability. 2″ Inner Liner Flex Pipes: The up-pipes utilizes heavy duty 2″ flex tubes with internal inner liner. Leak-Free Seal: High quality 3/8″ thick flanges are used for a complete 360 degree sealing surface. Note: This is a “Race Only” product used s olely for competition. Its use is limited to closed-course and open-course racing that is formally sanctioned by a recognized racing organization.     aFe Power’s New Twisted Steel Headers deliver +6 HP and +6 lbs. x ft. torque over the factory exhaust manifolds. The headers are constructed of 1-1/2″ 14-gauge 409 stainless steel tubing with 3/8″ thick flanges to ensure a leak free seal. To eliminate dead space that can cause turbulence and hinder flow that formed collectors are prone to produce, true mitered collectors are used for true pulse control technology improving flow and performance. The smooth curves and increased diameter of this header helps remove restriction and keeps exhaust gas flowing smoothly for improved performance and durability. Factory Mounting Locations: These headers retain your stock catalytic converters and are a direct bolt-on installation which requires no cutting or drilling to provide a hassle-free installation. Mitered Collectors: Mitered collectors decrease turbulence and increases exhaust velocity. The result is increased horsepower, torque and improved throttle response. Heavy Duty Flanges: 3/8″ thick flanges prevent warpage to ensure a leak-free seal over the life of the vehicle. Note 1: aFe recommends purchasing spark plug wire boot protectors (P/N: 48-90001) and gaskets (P/N: 48-90004) for additional protection for a hassle-free installation.
