Our thermostat begins opening 48F (27C) earlier than the stock thermostat to allow coolant to flow into your radiator and begin shedding heat sooner. This thermostat comes pre-installed in a durable OEM-quality housing and fits many BMWs including E46, E39, and E85 chassis. The Mishimoto BMW Racing Thermostat fits all N52, N54, and N55 engines. It will promote greater cooling efficiency throughout your engine. Mishimoto racing thermostats will significantly lower high engine temperature produced by modified and upgraded N52, N54 and N55 engines. Once the engine is fully warmed up the Mishimoto Racing Thermostat will open up at a lower temperature than the stock thermostat, allowing the coolant to flow through the engine sooner thus reducing and maintaining cooler engine temperatures.

This thermostat is designed as a direct-fit replacement for your aged factory unit. The Mishimoto thermostat has a lower activation temperature (185 F) compared to the factory thermostat (192 F). The lower activation temperature allows coolant to flow through the engine earlier, which reduces and maintains lower engine temperatures. This thermostat is ideal for use in warmer climates or under extreme towing/driving conditions. The CNC machined 6061 aluminum housing will provide a proper seal and will not rust over time. Like all of our Powerstroke Performance parts, this thermostat and housing includes the Mishimoto Lifetime Warranty.
