Nothing is quite as frustrating as having to cut your track time short, or pull off to the shoulder on a canyon carve due to simmering coolant. Luckily, Mishimoto is here to give the FK8’s cooling system the backup it needs with our 2017-2021 Honda Civic Type R Secondary Race Radiator kit. Employing the use of one of our smaller, but efficient, radiator designs, we mounted an additional heat exchanger behind the K20C1 with robust steel brackets, tapping in after the Civic?s heater core. Utilizing the air flow generated through the engine bay the Secondary Race Radiator generates additional cooling power for the already overworked stock radiator, keeping you on the track longer. In addition to the supplementary cooling power, the 2017-2021 Honda Civic Type R Secondary Race Radiator also increases the overall coolant capacity. Despite this, the internal pathway leaves room for improvement for those seeking maximum airflow. Using the latest in 3D printing, CAD modeling, and flow bench technology, we created an optimal pathway for airflow from the air intake box to the turbocharger. These enhancements result in an inlet pipe that is 16.7-percent less restrictive than the stock unit. Our 2017-2021 Civic Type R turbo inlet tube is constructed with a robust CNC-machined cast-aluminum turbo compressor inlet connection flange. This mating surface is designed to OEM specifications, providing a perfect bolt-on fit. The upper portion of the tube is fabricated from mandrel-bent aluminum piping, which is professionally TIG welded to the cast lower. This kit includes a 4-ply silicone coupler to mate the Mishimoto Performance Intake MAF housing with our new inlet tube, as well as high-quality stainless steel worm-gear clamps and an EVAP hose adapter flange to make installation a breeze. The 2018-2022 Honda Accord 1.5T is like a grown up version of It’s sporty Si cousin. Equipped with a similar 1.5T, this big sedan knows how to get you where you need to go both quickly and comfortably. It’soaks up the road rather than attacking it. While this Accord might be grown up, there are some things it can?t grow out of. Blow-by is an issue that affects just about every internal combustion engine, including the 2018+ Honda Accord 1.5T. While Honda designed the Accord to be a quiet and comfortable daily driver, some want extra growl from their turbocharged Accord. Luckily, Mishimoto is here to deliver. The Mishimoto Performance Air Intake for your 2018-2022 1.5T Accord alleviates restriction in the intake system, starting with our precision rotational-molded airbox and high-flow filter. The airbox helps insulate the filter from engine bay heat, while the enlarged fresh-air inlet increases the flow of cool outside air from between the grille and the hood. The high-flow filter is oiled to protect your precious turbocharger and engine, and washable to ensure long-term performance. Next, we CNC-machined the MAF housing from high-grade aluminum to ensure smooth flow and proper MAF sensor calibration. Our MAF housing, in tandem with our silicone coupler, allows the intake to flow better while maintaining safe air-fuel ratios. The Honda Accord is an interesting vehicle, sitting silently in the backdrop amidst performance-oriented Honda models for the better part of 40 years. It wasn’t all beige paint and practical features, though. In the eighties, the Accord received an excellent 2.0L DOHC motor and surprisingly good handling, and in the late 90’s they even stuffed a V6 under the hood with an optional manual gearbox. The tenth-generation Accord brings us something new to be excited about, two turbocharged powerplants with a ton of potential. Our team went right to work developing products for this chassis, focusing heavily on cooling support. It became apparent the factory intercooler, although well designed, was prone to heat soak and quickly became ineffective once additional power modifications were added. So we set out to create a solution. The Mishimoto Honda Accord Intercooler features a strategically designed bar-and-plate core mated to robust cast-aluminum end tanks perfected using our in-house flow-bench. Our engineers created a direct bolt-on intercooler solution with a massive core measuring 27.95″ X 7.34″ X 3.54″. The greater core volume, combined with improved frontal surface area, produced substantial cooling and power benefits. We saw power gains of 13whp/14ft-lbs on a stock 2.0T and 22whp/29ft-lbs with upgraded intake/exhaust and ECU tuning during testing.
