Suspension subframes form the connection between the suspension and the vehicle’s body and passenger compartment. These are one of the key areas vehicle manufacturers use to tune the passenger comfort and isolation. This means in many vehicles the bushings that soft heavily-voided rubber is used. As this rubber ages and degrades it allows significant movement in the suspension mounting which impacts traction, handling and control. In more powerful vehicles the original soft rubber bushings can also contribute to wheel hop under acceleration and significant movement in changing loads or gear changes – all of which sap performance and reduce passenger comfort. SuperPro repairs and enhances performance while retaining OEM levels of isolation through the use of superior materials and designs. Further; the performance of SuperPro’s subframe bushings does not degrade overtime as the synthetic elastomer materials used are not compromised be exposure to the elements or the varying loads over a vehicle’s life.

This bushing kit suits MQB platform vehicles fitted with the alloy subframe – whether fitted from the factory or as a customer-installed upgrade. Control arm bushings form the vital pivot and link between all core suspension components. SuperPro’s ‘offset’ bushing options introduce additional positive caster into the front end suspension geometry. With a small but significant change the additional caster delivers several benefits: Improved straight-line stability and tracking; your vehicle will track straight and return to center with less driver input. Dynamic camber gain with steering angle “ the more your turn the wheel with additional caster the more both wheels will ˜camber’ into the turn putting more of the tire’s contact patch on the road as the suspension loads up in the corner and helping to resist the tire ˜rolling over’ onto the shoulder and compromising grip. Enhanced steering weight and feel; the small caster change will weight up the steering slightly as you come off-center and the improved cornering grip delivers greater feel for the handling limit through the wheel. The caster offset bushings deliver only benefits with no negative impact on tire wear, comfort or unwanted handling behavior.
