If you can’t hear them, it might be time to let them whisper a little louder with this performance charge pipe from Mishimoto.—-The stock M2/M3/M4 charge pipe has the crucial job of transporting boost from both turbos to the intake manifold and intercooler so it can be turned into power by the engine. Looking at the stock charge pipe, however, you might not think BMW thought this was particularly important. Keep your 2021+ BMW M2/M3/M4 cool and collected with the Mishimoto 2021+ BMW M2/M3/M4 performance oil cooler. Much like their predecessors, the G8X M2, M3, and M4 were designed with efficiency in mind. This can be a double-edged sword, as the optimally arranged engine bay has components placed in precarious positions. Most notably, the oil cooler is placed on the undercarriage, parallel to the road’s surface. This placement increases air flow and uses aerodynamics to pull air through the core, but it also makes the stock cooler vulnerable to scrapes, bumps, and other road hazards. –With this in mind, the engineers at Mishimoto set out to design a robust G8X oil cooler to keep your M3 or M4 running cool on and off the track. We started by swapping the stock tube-and-fin cooler for a bar-and-plate with CNC-machined end tanks. Our cooler boasts a 35.7-percent thicker core and a 41-percent increase in core volume for superior cooling efficiency. Enhancing the S58 was something we set our sights on soon after acquiring a G80 of our own, the first project being our air intake system. Airbox volume, shape, and construction material all play a part in delivering maximum airflow to your engine. Our engineering team created extremely precise rotational-molded thermoplastic airboxes that eliminate restrictions, supply maximum cool-air entry via two additional ports that open to the wheel wells, and improve engine bay aesthetics. The use of thermoplastic material ensures the air intake system will incur minimum engine bay heat soak and provides unmatched durability for years of service in the harshest environments. Our airboxes were designed using the latest in 3D printing, CAD modeling, and flow bench technology. As a result, we reduced air intake restriction by 13 percent on the driver-side intake tract and 22.8 percent on the passenger-side intake tract. For proper filtration, this kit includes dual high-flow oiled air filters which provide improved filter surface area and improved airflow over the stock panel filters.
