In axle-back form, the SwitchPath™ retains the M5’s factory mid-section, coming in right at the rear axle. The AWE SwitchPath™ Axle Back Exhaust maintains a 3” diameter, shaves weight from the rear, and retains the factory valve behavior. Available separately are the AWE Performance Mid Pipes to replace the factory mid section with a 3” stainless steel X-pipe, mating to the factory Axle Back (or AWE Axle Back, to make a full cat back). And if you’re not ready to do the mid-pipes, no sweat – AWE engineered the Exhaust Suite for the M5 as a completely modular configuration that allows you to do just that, at any time. Simply add the desired configuration to your cart, and roar away. All tip options are AWE’s 4″ slash-cut design, and include the AWE logo and double-walling to ensure a mirror finish even under hard usage. All tips are individually adjustable, allowing depth into the bumper to be set according to personal taste.Important fitment notes: If you’re equipping the Performance Mid Pipes or an Axle Back, cutting will be required. The Performance Mid Pipes + Axle Back installed together will not require cutting.

Aggressive Sound: A free-flowing, transverse muffler is used to absorb high pitch tones producing a powerful sound and unleashing all available horsepower and torque. The muffler is finished with a high-temp powder-coated metallic black finish and a stamped aFe power logo. Exhaust Valve: This axle-back exhaust system incorporates a factory style exhaust valve which uses the factory exhaust valve motor (not included). The valve helps regulate, direct and control the flow of exhaust gases by opening, closing, or partially obstructing passageways depending on throttle position for maximum performance. Simple Installation: This MACH Force-Xp axle-back exhaust system uses factory mounting locations providing stability and a hassle-free installation. Quad 3-1/2″ Stainless Steel Tips:Finishing off this system are Quad 3-1/2″ diameter, 304 stainless steel tips with laser-etched aFe POWER logos.
