The TTE940 turbocharger set is a high-performance hybrid upgrade engineered specifically for the S58 engine platform used across select BMW M models. Each pair of TTE940 turbochargers is developed by removing the original compressor assemblies and replacing them with significantly larger, highly efficient billet compressor wheels. The compressor housings are CNC-machined to achieve the precise clearance required to perfectly match the new compressor profiles, ensuring maximum efficiency and airflow.
On the turbine side, we install TTEโs proprietary 9-blade low-mass turbine wheels within the original turbine housings. This configuration delivers increased exhaust flow and reduced exhaust gas temperatures under high boost conditions. To support long-term reliability under demanding performance use, the turbochargers are further enhanced with a TTE upgraded bearing pack, specifically designed for increased durability and stability.
The TTE940 turbochargers are fully race-proven, with successful operation in factory-backed motorsport programs and endurance events, including 24-hour racesโdemonstrating their capability under the most extreme conditions.
Turbo Inlets & System Integration
To complement the turbocharger upgrade, we also offer TTE upgraded turbo inlet intakes. These are designed for seamless connection to the OEM air intake system or to aftermarket solutions such as Eventuri, ensuring unrestricted airflow and straightforward installation. This complete solution delivers exceptional power potential while retaining fast boost response, making it an ultimate plug-and-play hybrid turbocharger upgrade. The system is both race-proven and factory-approved.
Precision Balancing & Equilibrium
Precision balancing is a critical element of every TTE turbocharger upgrade, as longevity, performance, and refinement are paramount. Superior balance not only enhances durability but also improves acoustic behavior during operation.
Each component is initially balanced individually at low speeds of up to 2,800 RPM across multiple planes using dedicated single-part balancing equipment. Once assembled, the complete CHRA (Center Housing Rotating Assembly) undergoes dynamic high-speed balancing on our in-house VSR (Vibration Sorting Rig) machine. Depending on the application, this process reaches speeds of up to 250,000 RPM and is performed across multiple planes to achieve an equilibrium standard significantly exceeding OEM specifications.
Every TTE940 turbocharger set is supplied with a serial-numbered balance test document, providing full traceability and assurance of quality.
