Description
TTE855 6663 CZGB / CEPA 2.5TFSI UPGRADE TURBOCHARGER
The TTE855 is engineered from the original RS3 8V.2 / TTRS 8S EA855 EVO turbocharger platform (DAZA / DNWA) and professionally adapted for compatibility with earlier CZGB, CEPA, and CEPB engine variants. This hybrid turbocharger represents the next evolution of our widely acclaimed TTE777, incorporating advanced engineering enhancements for superior performance, efficiency, and durability.
Advanced Engineering & Performance Upgrades
The TTE855 features a larger billet compressor wheel machined from high-grade aluminum using state-of-the-art geometry and a 7+7 blade configuration to deliver increased airflow and power output. The original exhaust turbine is replaced with a significantly larger yet lightweight 9-blade turbine designed by TTE, reducing exhaust backpressure and maximizing overall performance. To ensure reliability under demanding conditions, the unit is fitted with a proven TTE motorsport-grade upgraded bearing system.
Boost response remained a core focus during development, with testing demonstrating impressive torque delivery—approximately 500 Nm at just 2620 RPM and 900 Nm at 3500 RPM—highlighting the unit’s exceptional responsiveness and power characteristics.
Flow Optimization & Manifold Enhancement
For the TTE855 stage, the exhaust manifold is CNC-ported to match the OEM gasket at the cylinder head flange. Each exhaust runner is carefully smoothed to improve gas velocity and flow efficiency, optimizing energy transfer to the larger low-mass turbine and enabling the compressor to operate at higher efficiency. Additional turbine-side modifications further enhance exhaust flow for improved performance gains.
Thermal Management & Build Options
New units are assembled using the latest-generation BorgWarner turbochargers, paired with the newest Audi-spec thermal isolation shielding on the exhaust manifold and turbine housing. This advanced heat management reduces engine bay temperatures, improving both performance stability and operational safety.
If an older-generation turbocharger is supplied for upgrade and lacks the original Audi thermal shielding, it will be returned without shielding unless the optional thermal isolation upgrade is selected. Depending on stock availability, TTE thermal shielding may be substituted with genuine Audi shielding when applicable.
Important Compatibility Note:
Original K16 CEPA, CEPB, or CZGB turbochargers cannot be upgraded to the TTE855 stage. The maximum upgrade level for K16 units is the TTE500+ Turbocharger.
Precision Balancing – “Equilibrium” Standard
Precision balancing is fundamental to every TTE upgrade unit, directly influencing longevity, efficiency, acoustics, and reliability. Each component is first balanced individually at speeds up to 2,800 RPM across multiple planes. After assembly, the CHRA undergoes dynamic multi-plane balancing at speeds of up to 250,000 RPM using our in-house VSR system—achieving balance tolerances significantly exceeding OEM standards.
Every turbocharger is supplied with a serial-numbered balance test report certifying its calibration and performance integrity.
