The TTE440L represents our latest hybrid performance turbocharger, engineered from the original IHI unit designed for the 3rd-generation VAG 2.0 TSI (EA888 Gen 3) engine platform. Delivering true Stage 3 performance with exceptional spool characteristics and throttle response, it is developed as a premium plug-and-play hybrid solution for enthusiasts seeking maximum efficiency, reliability, and power output.
Engineering & Performance Enhancements โ EA888 Gen 3 Platform
To produce the TTE440L, the original compressor is replaced with a significantly larger, high-efficiency billet compressor wheel featuring extended-tip technology. The compressor cover is precision-machined to achieve optimal clearance tolerances that perfectly match the upgraded compressor profile.
On the turbine side, the factory unit is substituted with a lightweight, high-flow 9-blade turbine. The turbine housing is CNC-machined to accommodate this larger turbine, enabling improved exhaust gas flow, reduced back pressure, and lower exhaust gas temperatures. These improvements allow safer operation at elevated boost levels while maintaining reliability.
Additionally, the original thrust bearing is upgraded to a proprietary in-house manufactured 360-degree TTE performance bearing, engineered for superior durability under high load conditions.
TTE CNC Silencer Delete
The turbocharger is fitted with a precision-machined TTE CNC silencer delete system. This modification removes the restrictive factory discharge baffle and replaces it with a straight-through section, improving airflow efficiency while enhancing turbo acoustics and responsiveness.
Advanced 9-Blade Turbine Design
The custom TTE turbine is specifically engineered to deliver:

Precision Balancing โ TTE Equilibrium Standard
Accurate balancing is critical to both turbocharger longevity and performance. Every TTE unit undergoes a multi-stage balancing process:

Component Pre-Balancing: Individual parts are balanced at low speed (up to 2,800 RPM) across multiple planes using specialized equipment.

Assembly & Dynamic Balancing: The assembled CHRA is then dynamically balanced at speeds of up to 250,000 RPM on our in-house VSR machine.
This process achieves balance tolerances significantly exceeding OEM standards. Each turbocharger is supplied with a serial-numbered balance test certificate to verify quality and precision.
