Upgraded Diverter Valve

Description

The RacingLine Upgraded Diverter Valve replaces the failure-prone OEM diaphragm unit on 2.0 TSI, 2.5 TFSI and 4.0 V8 TT engines with a billet aluminium, piston-based valve. It holds consistent boost control on remapped and track-driven cars, and carries a lifetime warranty to the first owner.

Key Features:

• Piston instead of diaphragm: The factory rubber diaphragm deforms and leaks under heat and repeated load cycles; a precision-machined piston does not.
• Holds boost between shifts: Faster actuation keeps pressure where it should be during gear changes, which shows up as sharper throttle response.
• Built for raised boost: Engineered for the pressures a remapped or track-driven 2.0 TSI sees, without sticking or leaking.
• Near-OEM noise levels: Deliberately tuned to avoid the loud whoosh that some DV designs produce, so daily driving stays civilised.

• Two part numbers cover the range: VWR144002 for EA888 Gen 4 from 2020 on, VWR144001 for the earlier 2.0 TSI, 2.5 TFSI and 4.0 V8 TFSI engines.

Check which engine family your car uses before selecting the valve style, as the two part numbers are not interchangeable.
