Welcome to the second stage of TTE’s performance upgrade program for the BMW N54 platform. The TTE600 4445 turbochargers are engineered to retain excellent spool characteristics while delivering significantly enhanced top-end performance. This improvement is achieved through the use of larger exhaust turbines and higher-flow inlet compressors, providing a well-balanced increase in power across the rev range.

Precision Balancing & Equilibrium

Achieving precise balance is a critical requirement for every TTE upgrade turbocharger, as both long-term reliability and consistent performance are paramount. Superior balancing not only enhances durability but also improves acoustic refinement.

Each turbocharger undergoes a meticulous, multi-stage balancing process. Individual components are initially balanced at low speeds of up to 2,800 RPM across multiple planes using dedicated single-part balancing equipment. Once assembled, the complete CHRA (Center Housing Rotating Assembly) is dynamically balanced at speeds of up to 250,000 RPM—depending on application—using TTE’s in-house VSR (Vibration Sorting Rig) system.

This advanced procedure ensures optimal equilibrium to a standard that exceeds OEM specifications. Every turbocharger is supplied with a serial-numbered balance test certificate, providing full traceability and assurance of quality.
