Description
The RacingLine Stage 2 EVO Monoblock Brake Upgrade brings motorsport caliper construction to the fast-road Audi S3 8Y and VW Golf R. Four-piston one-piece calipers on 345mm x 30mm high carbon discs cut nearly half the weight out of the factory setup.
Key Features:
- Monoblock caliper construction: A one-piece four-piston alloy caliper, the construction normally reserved for top-tier motorsport kits, far stiffer than a bolted two-piece.
- Halves the unsprung weight: Caliper, pads and bracket come in at 4.4kg against 8.6kg for the factory Golf 7R assembly, per corner.
- 345mm high carbon discs: A 345mm x 30mm triple-groove single-piece rotor in high cast carbon raises heat capacity and friction coefficient over plain steel.
- Generic pad size: The kit uses the same pad as a Ferrari F40, so replacements are available in any brand and any compound you like.
- Matched to VWG hydraulics: Piston sizes are chosen against the factory master cylinder and servo, which is what gives it a natural pedal rather than a grabby one.
- Complete bolt-on kit: Discs, calipers, mounting brackets, fast road pads and braided steel lines are all in the box.

Minimum 17″ wheels, and most OEM wheels will need at least a 5mm spacer to clear the calipers. This is a fast-road kit that handles occasional track days; for regular heavy track use, step up to the Stage 3 Forged Monoblock kit.
