Description
RacingLine’s Billet Underbody Tunnel Brace replaces the thin stamped-steel factory brace on MQB cars with machined 6061-T6 aluminium. It adds chassis stiffness while giving the exhaust clearance a 3″ system needs.
Key Features:
- Stiffer than the OE brace: The factory item is thin stamped steel; this is CNC-machined from solid billet, engineered to shed material without losing rigidity.
- Clearance for a 3in exhaust: The OE brace does not clear a 3″ system, so the usual fix is to remove it entirely. This lets you keep the bracing instead.
- No NVH penalty: Adds stiffness without introducing extra noise, vibration or harshness into the cabin.
- Reversible bolt-on: Uses existing body mounting points with no drilling and no trim removal.
- AWD compatible: AWD cars can run the Rear brace; FWD cars can run both the Centre and Rear.

Particularly worth fitting at the same time as a 3″ exhaust, when the alternative is running with no tunnel brace at all.
