The front suspension of a Sprinter van utilizes a MacPherson strut to provide damping. The stock struts leave a lot to be desired on their own once you upfit the van for overland use or haul cargo. Fabtech offers a solution to this problem by utilizing a Bilstein strut with their high-quality cold wound coil spring. The coil springs are positioned around the strut bodies. They provide an additional lift to the vehicle of 1 in.-1.5 in. over stock. This creates increased ground clearance and clearance of larger tires for off-road use. Additionally, they help reduce sway for vans with full interior build-outs or hauling heavy cargo. The coil springs utilize billet aluminum upper and lower coils seats that slide over the strut. They are positioned to the correct ride height and create a secure mounting for the springs. To further enhance the vehicle’s suspension Fabtech has also developed an Auxiliary Front Shock kit for a complete upgrade. The kit adds two high-quality Fabtech built Dirt Logic 2.25 shocks with valving specific to the Sprinter van. The valving will provide a superior ride quality for both loaded and unloaded vans. The Dirt Logic 2.25 shocks are constructed with a stainless steel bodies that provide maximum corrosion resistance in all conditions. These heavy-duty auxiliary shock mounts are built with 1/4 in. thick steel and attach to the suspension subframe only. There is no attachment to the unibody structure. This type of mounting is vastly superior to other shock kits that mount to the unibody. By mounting to the subframe this helps isolate road noise and eliminates potential stress to the unibody. With only two holes to drill for installation, it takes about 1-2 hours with no removal of the interior required. This Sprinter van coil assist kit and auxiliary shocks are the perfect upgrade for Sprinter owners looking for increased suspension damping for highway and offroad trails.

Sprinter vans that have been upfitted for overlanding and /or carrying additional cargo weight often need more damping capacity than what the factory struts and shocks can provide. Fabtech addresses this problem with our heavy-duty auxiliary shock kit. These heavy-duty front auxiliary shock mounts are built with 1/4 in. thick steel and attach to the suspension subframe only. There is no attachment to the unibody structure. This type of mounting is vastly superior to other shock kits that mount to the unibody. The best shocks only get better with all new Stainless Steel and Aluminum construction. High grade 304 Stainless Steel shock bodies eclipse all other shocks on the market for maximum corrosion resistance. Each Stainless Steel shock body receives a finely detailed machine finish for a stunning appearance. Dirt Logic Stainless Steel reservoir shocks have been upgraded with black anodized 6061 Aluminum reservoir bodies. This includes both piggyback and remote reservoir shocks. The Aluminum resi construction allows for greater heat dissipation thereby keeping the shock cooler to reduce fade during aggressive offroad use. Finally each Dirt Logic piston rod has been upgraded to a NitroSteel(R) material that is super hard while providing increased corrosion resistance compared to chromed piston rods. Get the finest ride with maximum corrosion resistance only from Dirt Logic shocks. In addition to the specific Dirt Logics for each suspension system, there is also a line of universal Dirt Logic shocks available in reservoir and non-reservoir styles, ranging from 8 to 16 inches of stroke. These universal shocks are sold with universal hardware kits for easy installation. Dirt Logic 2.0 and 2.25 shocks feature urethane bushings in the mounting points to reduce road noise and rattling associated with spherical bearings. Dirt Logic coilover shocks utilize spherical bearings at each end for increased strength along with urethane misalignment cups in the top caps. The misalignment cups keep the road noise transferred through spherical bearings to a minimum. Dirt Logic 2.5 and 4.0 coilover shocks use coil springs made to the highest quality standards possible. All Dirt Logic coils posses the ability to go solid without breaking, settling or bowing. All Dirt Logic coilover shocks come preset with the proper amount of preload so they can be bolted on without any further adjustment necessary. Dirt Logics are available with or without an external reservoir.

Fabtechs JL Crawler long arm systems are built to meet the most experienced drivers expectations without having a questionably fabricated suspension. If you are in the market for a system that will work properly right out of the box and does not require continued fabrication and constant maintenance, look no further. A key part of the mounting of the Crawlers 5 Ton Link Arms to the frame is the geometry and ground clearance. The location of the frame side of the link arms is critical in providing superior handling throughout the travel range. Fabtech has found the sweet spot geometry for the link arms that provide a superior driving long arm system compared to all others on the market. Front link arm are mounted to a full width crossmember that spans frame rail to frame rail. This crossmember is a key in not only in mounting the Links arms at the correct geometry but it adds critical strength to the lighter weight JL frame for hard offroad use. Rear links attach to new frame mounts on the side of the frame for increased ground clearance and approach angle. The Fabtech lower Link Arms are massive and built of 2 in. OD .313 thick wall tubing that is guaranteed not to bend. Upper and lower Link Arms includes the Fabtechs legendary 5 Ton joints that come with lifetime guarantee of never wearing out. They are superior for offroad use with a smooth quiet operation on the street.
